DESIGN STRATEGY, CREATIVE FACILITATION
How might we rethink the high school experience to deeply prepare our students for the rigorous challenges of college, career, and life?
I led a team to address this challenge, facilitating the full design process over the course of 6 months. We conducted over 50 interviews, hosted creative workshops, and refined the idea to create two visual proposals outlining our dream school solution. We were selected out of 30,000 teams to continue to the Design Phase, and were 1 of 700 teams to again be selected for the final Development Phase. Together our team formulated the best, most appropriate school to meet the needs of Indianapolis.
We conducted over 50 interviews with students, teachers, and education stakeholders to understand their needs. We then hosted creative workshops to reimagine the high school culture, curriculum, and educator role.
We created student journey maps of the enrollment process and learning experience, as well as student and teacher personas for our reimagined high school.
